What I Help With
Burnout
For some, burnout looks like not being able to get out of bed. For others, you still show up to work every day, but underneath, things have gone quiet — a kind of emptiness where feeling used to be. Sometimes the body says it before the mind will admit it: a weakened immune system, symptoms that won't resolve, exhaustion that rest doesn't touch.
Identity Crisis
"Who am I here?" — a question that lands differently once you've left the place that used to answer it for you. Hypnotherapy may help with untangling which parts of you are actually you, and which were shaped by a context you've since left behind.
Inner-Child Healing
A lot of what keeps us stuck didn't start in the situation we're currently stuck in. Inner-child work goes to where the pattern actually began — often long before the move, the job, or the relationship that seems to have triggered it — and works with those earlier experiences directly.
Resilience
Rebuilding steadiness when your support network is a flight away, not a five-minute drive. Clients often work on this alongside burnout or identity work, as the two tend to feed each other.
Anxiety
Anxiety has many causes and can become genuinely dysfunctional when it's chronic. Overthinking and rumination are often symptoms masking limiting beliefs underneath.
Stop Smoking
If quitting has been hard despite real effort, there may be an emotional root underneath the habit. A discovery call can help clarify whether this approach fits.
Grief and Loss
Sometimes grief gets complicated by distance — losing someone close to you while you weren't physically there, and not finding a way to mourn that feels complete. That kind of loss can sit unresolved in a way ordinary grief doesn't, especially for expats far from the people and rituals that usually hold you through it.
Sleep Problems
Waking in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep — and then feeling angry at yourself for not sleeping, which only makes it harder. Clients often work on both the sleep pattern itself and the self-directed frustration that builds around it.
Phobias
An irrational fear that started at some point in time, often with an emotional trigger underneath it that isn't obvious on the surface. Hypnotherapy may help with identifying and working with what's underneath the fear, not just managing the symptom.
“I had the pleasure of receiving hypnotherapy from Joyce during one of the most vulnerable periods of my life. She instantly put me at ease and gave me methods to navigate what felt like an impossible journey. I'll always be grateful for how she helped me cope.”
